Nia Glassie

Nia Glassie was a little girl that was murdered in Rotorua NZ at the hands of those who were supposed to be her caretakers. She was three years old.The worst thing is that there are 5 people charged with her murder/manslaughter.

The events and torture that unfolded with this child are so extreme that is has rocked  the foundations of all mothers and the many women that I know; as well as those  throughout this country. What can you say and how do you fathom it?? There really is no answer.

I was asked to supply a picture in 2007 at the local primary school and I was so miserable about the tragedy that happened at the time, that I couldn't paint a thing. Slowly something began to take shape which helped to lift ME up and I hope will do the same for others that may witness or purchase this.

I have entitled it "The sky's the Limit."

On  the print it reads, "WHEN BIG PEOPLE LOVE LITTLE PEOPLE- THE SKYS THE LIMIT!"

Rest in blissful peace now, sweet Nia. You will NOT be forgotten. X
